EXCLUSIVE BAD NEWS – Tottenham ace have been RULED OUT of action for the rest of the season amid latest report TODAY by the Spurs Doctors
Rumor has it that Tottenham’s Ryan Sessegnon will suffer yet another career setback as he will be out for the rest of the season after undergoing hamstring surgery.
After injuring his right hamstring on 17 February while playing for Spurs’ under-21s against West Ham, the 23-year-old had the operation done. Surgery has been a common occurrence for Sessegnon recently; in July, he underwent similar procedure on his left hamstring.
It would appear that Tottenham is not counting on Sessegnon to return to the starting lineup this year. Instead, the Englishman will likely devote his time to rest and rehabilitation in preparation for a return in the 2024–25 season.
Spurs’ January FA Cup victory over Burnley was Ryan Sessegnon’s lone senior appearance of the season; the player was once a sensation for Fulham. His rehabilitation time will be longer due to this most recent injury, which adds to the long list of ailments that have limited his playing time.
Before Sessegnon’s initial hamstring injury sidelined him in mid-February, he was a regular under Antonio Conte in the first half of last season. He has appeared in 57 matches for Tottenham since his 2019 transfer from Fulham, where he cost a reported £25 million, and has helped out with three goals and four assists.
Following their 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace, Tottenham will face Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday, March 10, putting them in fifth place in the Premier League table.
Still, the team’s quest to solidify its position in the league standings is made more difficult by Sessegnon’s absence for the remainder of the season.
