Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Darwin Nunez is a major doubt for Liverpool’s Premier League game against Arsenal on Sunday.
Nunez set a new Premier League record by hitting the crossbar four times in a 4-1 win over Chelsea on Tuesday, but he did provide an assist to help his team win easily.
The victory extended Liverpool’s lead over Arsenal and Manchester City to five points, with Jurgen Klopp’s side visiting the Emirates on Sunday.
Nunez, on the other hand, is suffering from a foot injury and left Anfield on Tuesday night wearing a protective boot.
While X-rays show that nothing has been broken, it is unclear whether he will travel south.
In his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp said: ‘You probably didn’t know, and I’m not sure if Darwin will be available.
‘After 20 minutes, Darwin’s foot was stepped on, which was extremely painful. He removed the boot 20 minutes after the game because he didn’t want to see it before he knew what it was.

‘I did not see him this morning. So we have to wait a little while.
Liverpool are also likely to be without Mohamed Salah.
