Following his summer departure from Nottingham Forest, Lingard is still without a club.

Jesse Lingard, the former winger for Manchester United, reportedly fired his agents because he was getting impatient trying to find a new team.

After departing Nottingham Forest last summer at the end of a one-year contract worth £200,000 per week, Lingard is still a free agent.

Six months after leaving the club, the 31-year-old still hasn’t secured a move, and it’s said that he’s become frustrated with the lack of movement.

As a result, according to Sky Sports News, who cites a person close to the player, Lingard has cut contact with his representatives.

“Lingard has severed all connections with his previous agents and is simply interested in playing football,” the source stated.

Jesse Lingard has reportedly sacked his agents as he bids to secure a new club in January

According to reports, Lingard and his representatives have called off a “complex long-term agreement” because he became angry that “several contract offers and enquiries since his departure from Nottingham Forest have failed to develop.”

It was stated that Lingard’s desire to join a new club was not motivated by money.

After failing to secure a contract despite stints of training with West Ham and Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia during the season, Lingard has been working out privately in Dubai.

In 2021, the forward scored nine goals in 16 appearances during his fruitful loan at West Ham.

Despite an attack injury crisis, West Ham has ruled out a move for Lingard due to concerns about the 31-year-old missing so much time from the field.

Paul Scholes, the legendary player for Manchester United, chastised Lingard earlier this week after the winger uploaded multiple photos of himself working out at the gym.

“Are you just gon’ f*** around in the gym or are you gonna actually play football?” Scholes asked in the comments.

In response to another post showing Lingard working out on a field, he said, “There we go, Jess..a ball.”

According to reports in Spain, Lingard has made himself available to Barcelona; Everton and Ligue 1 teams are reportedly interested in signing Lingard.
