Gakpo attributes his quick adjustment period to the love he received from the supporters and feels completely at home on Merseyside.
“A year with obviously really good moments, some lesser-good moments, but I’m happy to be here and hopefully beautiful moments to come,” the No. 18 said to Liverpoolfc.com.
“I think the club is fantastic and I truly feel at home there. It resembles a large family. Every game, the fans are incredible and give us all their love. Thank you, and I enjoy being here.
The 24-year-old said of his goals for the second year, “I hope to achieve a lot – on a personal level as well. But we have high hopes and ambitious objectives as a team. We’re putting some effort into it.
“I believe that every player needs some time to get used to a new environment, but I quickly felt at home.
“It’s an amazing club and hopefully many more beautiful moments will come for me and for the team.”
