Wednesday morning transaction: Manchester United finally signs elite playmaker who is eager to be the next De Bruyne: Fixed salary under a four-year agreement Ten Hag is expected to reveal his sixth signing today, which is medical. Currently

Man Utd is still eager to make the correct decisions in the transfer market, even after signing four players this transfer window—and some pretty pricey ones at that. Part of that could involve exploring market possibilities.

Juventus winger Federico Chiesa is one guy who embodies a prime illustration of a summertime market potential.

The winger, whose contract expires in 2025, is expected to be available for a very low price from Juventus’ project under Thiago Motta.

Last month, it was reported that Man Utd was interested in the 26-year-old playmaker and that the Old Lady was demanding £42.4 million in exchange for Chiesa.

The footballer might now be available for as little as £12.8m (15 million euros), according to Sport (picture attached at the end).

Chiesa’s career in Turin cannot be stopped, according to the report, and the club is eager to remove his £5.1 million annual wage from their books. The idea of a loan will not be considered since they want to make sure there is a sale this summer.

Premier League teams Chelsea and Manchester United have made offers to Chiesa, but he has not yet accepted them because Barcelona remains his top objective. The Euro 2020 sensation is being studied by the Catalan club for a summer transfer.

For the Italian international, the past few seasons have not been easy. He endured a protracted time of absence from football due to an ACL injury from which he suffered poor recovery. Furthermore, at the Euro 2024, he was unable to display his greatest performance.

Should a club manage to sign Chiesa this summer, it would be a fantastic signing with enormous potential rewards. Man Utd should have no trouble with this, although it’s unclear if the star will choose to visit Old Trafford.
