(Video): Nicolas Jackson’s thumping header gives Chelsea the lead
The return of Nicolas Jackson!
Just moments after seeing a weak attempt cleared off the line, he hammered in a magnificent header to put Chelsea ahead.
Some groans and critical commentary at halftime will be put to rest by that.
This was fantastic striker play, even though he hasn’t looked great from up there thus far. To meet Malo Gusto’s magnificent cross, he slipped past the defenders.
Our striker shrugged off his problems and scored a fantastic goal despite the heavy rain falling in West London. His detractors will be quieted, and he did away with the “shush” celebration, too.
