Conor Gallagher, a midfield player for Chelsea, is still up for grabs for Tottenham this month, according to sources who spoke to Football Insider.

According to reports, Spurs and the Blues have been in “daily dialogue” regarding a possible Gallagher transfer. If their valuation of £45–50 million is satisfied, the Blues would be open to selling.

After acquiring forward Timo Werner, initially on loan from RB Leipzig, and center-back Radu Dragusin, who joined permanently from Genoa, Spurs are keen to add another star player.

Because of their recent heavy spending, Mauricio Pochettino’s team needs big-money sales to raise money for their own transfer targets because they are having problems with Financial Fair Play.

Since Gallagher rose through the ranks at Cobham, Chelsea would profit handsomely from any sale.

A significant concern is the willingness of Tottenham and the west Londoners to conduct business in light of their intense rivalry and the dearth of transfer activity between them.

With four assists this season, the former Crystal Palace and West Brom loanee has been a vital member of the Stamford Bridge team. He has started all but one Premier League game this season.

This season, he has led his team in 14 different competitions when Reece James has been sidelined. James is anticipated to return in March after hamstring surgery.

Football Insider (9 January) reported that Ange Postecoglou is keen to add midfield reinforcements, and if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg departs the team this month, this may be his top priority.

After defeating Bournemouth 3-1 at home on New Year’s Eve, Tottenham is currently fifth in the Premier League. On Sunday, January 14, they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Chelsea’s consecutive league victories have propelled them to tenth position ahead of their Saturday afternoon (January 13) West London derby against Fulham.
