“This is why we lose against big team” Manchester United players concerned about demands under Erik ten Hag

We lose against big teams because of this. United players at Manchester are worried about Erik ten Hag’s demands
Some Manchester United players are worried about manager Erik ten Hag’s running demands.

Injuries have been a problem for United this season, and it’s no secret that some players feel the intensity is too much after last season’s 62-game campaign.

Nine players missed Sunday’s Manchester derby loss to City, adding to United’s 47 total instances of injuries and illnesses that have resulted in game absences.

Only Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes, and Alejandro Garnacho have managed to avoid being sidelined due to injuries this season.

After the 3-1 loss, Ten Hag explained that Marcus Rashford and Jonny Evans were both benched. “I removed them both. They battled to stay in the game, but we had to substitute them after 60 or 70 minutes.

We’re trying to get players back, and I expect them to return soon, preferably following the international break. With any luck, Marcus Rashford and Jonny Evans will make a full recovery in time to play against Everton in our next match.

United had a two-game week last week because of their FA Cup fifth round away match against Nottingham Forest, four days before the derby. Ten Hag gave United players Monday and Friday off because of this.

Due to their elimination from all European competition in December, United played a sparse six-game Premier League schedule in February, three of which included a midweek free.

Before hosting Liverpool in the FA Cup quarterfinal on March 17, Saturday lunchtime will see a visit from Everton. On March 30, following the spring internationals, United will play Brentford in their domestic campaign opener.
