Thierry Henry claims to be astounded by the “brilliant” £40 million striker that Arsenal hopes to sign in January.
In response to rumors that the Gunners want to sign Dominic Solanke in January, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry offered his opinion on the Bournemouth player.
Despite having the better of the ball against West Ham United last night, Mikel Arteta’s team lost. Again, the main issue was the lack of goals, and supporters are demanding a new striker when the transfer window opens. Solanke has a lot of connections.

Dominic Solanke, an Arsenal target, blows Thierry Henry away
Dominic Solanke is one of the names being linked to a transfer to the Emirates, and Arsenal ought to seriously consider bringing in a new striker in January.
This month, The Daily Star disclosed that the Bournemouth center-forward, who is enjoying an incredible Premier League season, is a target for the Gunners.
Solanke has scored 13 goals for the Cherries this season across all competitions. In the summer, Bournemouth turned down a bid of £40 million for him (Mirror). Thierry Henry has taken notice of him because of how great he has been.
The venerable Frenchman, who has a wealth of experience scoring goals, has expressed amazement at Solanke’s performances thus far this year.
Henry stated, as cited by The Metro, on Amazon Prime Video Sport when asked to name a Premier League player who has impressed him: “Dominic Solanke, the way he is playing at Bournemouth.”
“Not only is he a huge asset to the team, but we have been waiting for him to step up as that player. I suppose that in his younger years, it was a bit excessive. However, he is doing something really great right now.
He did battle for a little while, so I’m glad for him. He appears good now.
Solanke might have an impact for Arsenal.
The loss to West Ham United last night demonstrated just how much Arsenal needs a new striker.
Although Gabriel Jesus is among the best in the nation at what he does, the Brazilian isn’t a goal scorer by nature. Arsenal lost the game last night as a result of his two huge misses.
Although Solanke may not be the household name that Arsenal supporters are hoping for, he has demonstrated this season that he is a capable Premier League scorer.
If Arsenal can sign the striker next month, it will give their attack a new dimension that could play a significant role in the title fight.
