Thiago Silva’s wife posts restaurant bill to show how much footballers spend after a match
Isabelle da Silva, Thiago Silva’s wife, has provided an insight into what happens to a football player after a game.
Preston North End, a Championship team, will play Chelsea on Saturday at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup third round.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team won 4-0 thanks to goals in the second half from Silva, Armando Broja, Raheem Sterling, and Enzo Fernandez.
Following the game, Silva’s spouse Isabelle celebrated their win in style by sharing a photo of their restaurant bill on social media.
“A simple family dinner” was the caption that went with the bill picture.
Silva incurred a £900.30 bill while dining with his family at the posh Novikov restaurant in London.
The Silva family ordered some of the most expensive dishes at Novikov, including a peaking duck that costs £85 and a king crab leg that costs £95.
Following the game, Pochettino made known that Christopher Nkunku, a star player for Chelsea, had sustained a fresh injury.
“It’s really tough,” he stated. The conditions are extremely difficult right from the start of the season. It can be challenging at times to explain things to the fans, Broja, Nkunku, Lavia.
“Like Nkunku, we don’t want to put too much pressure on him because we are aware of how difficult it is to return to performance after a protracted injury. It’s always difficult to return to the competition after a six-month break.
“Now he wasn’t involved because he suffered some kind of hip problem after training yesterday, and we need to check and see if he can be ready for the next few games,” he continued.
The issue is that, as Chelsea, we must succeed in the end, so sometimes we are unable to give players who require a sense of competition the game time they require to perform at their best.
