Arsenal have some huge transfer decisions to make in January
Arsenal have already made three key January transfer decisions, according to recent reports, as the window continues to creep closer. The Gunners have made a decent start to their campaign as they near the halfway stage, sitting top of the Premier League.
It’s a position they’ve been in before, having occupied first for much of last season before falling off and having to settle for being runners-up. There have been plenty of improvements in the team and the strategy since, with the likes of Declan Rice and Kai Havertz adding quality to the side.
Players can often be much more expensive and given teams and their desperation to improve, the window can sometimes do more harm than good. For Arsenal, their record in January has been hit and miss, with no recruitment taking place two seasons ago, but last season adding key names in Leandro Trossard and Jorginho.
It remains to be seen how much they dip into the window this time around, following links with a striker, a midfielder and a defender in recent weeks. However, it appears as though three specific targets are unlikely to join in some of those key roles that may need addressing.
Mikel Arteta is eyeing a title run, and Arsenal has already made three significant transfer decisions in January. Arsenal may make some important additions during the January transfer window to support this season’s Premier League title push.

In January, Arsenal must make some important transfer decisions.
According to recent reports, as the January transfer window draws nearer, Arsenal has already made three significant decisions. As they approach the halfway point of their season and are currently atop the Premier League, the Gunners have had a respectable start.
They have been in this position before; during the majority of the previous season, they were first, but they dropped off and had to settle for second place. Since then, the group and the approach have undergone numerous changes, with players like Declan Rice and Kai Havertz contributing top-notch players to the side.
Given teams’ desperate attempts to improve and the fact that players are frequently far more expensive, the window may occasionally cause more harm than good. Arsenal’s January performance has been erratic; two seasons ago, they did not make any additions, but they did add two important players in Leandro Trossard and Jorginho last season.
With rumours of a striker, midfielder, and defender in recent weeks, it is unclear how much they spend in the window this time. Three particular targets, though, don’t seem likely to join in some of those crucial roles that might require attention.
