“Rooney was the worst team mate” see the Man United legend who said this and why

During a fantastic time for the British team, Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney were two of Manchester United’s mainstays. At Old Trafford, they had many years of success together and took home several titles, including the Premier League and the Champions League.

They were teammates from 2004 to 2014, and under Sir Alex Ferguson, that time will go down as one of the club’s greatest. The ‘Red Devils’ have significantly decreased in level since then.

But in a recent podcast, the former center back disclosed that Rooney was “the worst teammate” he had while playing.Ferdinand described how, during games, he would frequently argue on the field with the current Birmingham City coach.

Ferdinand described how Rooney’s ambition to improve as a player fueled the arguments in the most recent episode of the BBC podcast, which is hosted by Rugby League legend Rob Burrow, who uses his eyeball machine to ask guests seven questions while suffering from motor neurone disease.

“To be honest with you, Wayne Rooney was the worst teammate I had the most arguments with. It happened on the pitch, never on blows,” said Ferdinand.

We didn’t really fight in training; instead, on match days, we probably got into arguments once every two to three games, screaming and effing at one another as I wanted more from him.

“I was aware of his strengths and knew he was capable of more. If anything, I would like him to be more productive.

“Wayne wanted to play 30 or 40 yard passes like Paul Scholes, and he could do it; he was that good, which is what worries me most about him. Since he was capable, I wanted him to score thirty or forty goals a season.

“He was unhappy because he wasn’t controlling the game and getting involved; instead, he had to play high, which I found difficult to understand,” the player said after we played for a season. “He scored thirty or so goals. I want you to be that because I know you are capable of being the best striker.

We used to fight; I would tell him to shoot, and he would yell back at me. However, he loved football so much that he wanted to play it like he was in the park. However, they were persuasive arguments.
