Favorite Roberto Firmino of Liverpool is set to return to Merseyside as concerns about his long-term future in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ahli grow.

After losing favor with the Saudi Pro League team, Roberto Firmino is prepared to leave Al-Ahli. He has suitors from all over Europe, including England.

Despite rumors that he was moving elsewhere, the 32-year-old former Liverpool favorite left Anfield as a free agent and joined the wave of elite athletes who left for the Middle East in the summer.

Firmino’s hat-trick on his Al-Ahli debut gave him the ideal start to life in Saudi Arabia. But after failing to score a goal since his first treble, his reputation has severely declined, and he hasn’t been on the team recently.

The Brazil international is reportedly considering leaving Al-Ahli in January after becoming dissatisfied with his circumstances, and a return to the Premier League does not appear to be out of the question, according to talkSPORT.

The report continues by detailing how Sheffield United was courting Firmino, who is dissatisfied with Al-Ahli’s system, before Paul Heckingbottom was fired earlier this month. Firmino still has a lot of suitors throughout Europe, so it remains to be seen if their interest will wane in the wake of Heckingbottom’s exit.

Clubs in Turkey are interested in signing Firmino, but the forward would also think about going back to his home country of Brazil. Although they would prefer that Firmino stay in the Middle East, Al-Ahli are willing to loan him out in January.
