According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United and Real Madrid may challenge Tottenham Hotspur for Everton center back Jarrad Branthwaite.

For Sean Dyche’s team this season, the 21-year-old Branthwaite has shown maturity beyond his years, making him one of the best young players in the Premier League thus far.

Over the past month or so, there have been numerous reports stating that Tottenham is keeping a close eye on the young central defender (Sky Sports).

But if the information from the past few weeks is accurate, Everton will not be selling their academy graduate this month, and they have set a £100 million price tag for him to deter Tottenham and other potential buyers (INews).

Three teams are vying for Branthwaite at the Spurs.
Tottenham has now been mentioned by The Mail as one of the teams interested in the Everton player. According to the publication, Manchester United and the Lilywhites are “in particular” keeping a close eye on the young player ahead of next summer.

Real Madrid, who are now also pursuing the Everton star, may present a challenge for Spurs and the Red Devils, it is revealed.

It is explained that Branthwaite is close to Carlo Ancelotti, who gave him his senior debut for the Toffees two years ago, and that at the end of the season, the Real Madrid manager may try to get the defender back at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Next summer, I don’t see Everton parting with Branthwaite for less than £80 million. If he makes it into England’s starting eleven and performs well at the Euros, his price could even go up. Thus, it’s likely that Tottenham has already passed on the 21-year-old.
