OFFICIAL: A star of Manchester United is returning to the club after meeting with Ruben Amorim alone. An announcement will be made in the next few days. hello again, champion

In the middle of the “storm” at Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo stood up for Ruben Amorim and made a big claim about his possible return to the club.

Ronaldo scored 145 goals for United and won nine trophies at Old Trafford. He is generally regarded as one of the club’s best players of all time, even though he left the club in bad terms after his second spell.

The Portuguese legend was very critical of the Glazer family, the team’s manager at the time, Erik ten Hag, and his teammates in a shocking interview with Piers Morgan at the start of the 2022–2023. This got him released in November 2022.

Since then, not much has changed at United, especially on the field. The Red Devils are currently stuck in 14th place in the Premier League, and Ten Hag’s firing and the hiring of Amorim have not stopped their decline into mediocrity.

But Ronaldo is sure that Amorim will be able to handle the “storm” at United.

He said this at the Globe Soccer Awards: “He did a great job with my Sporting in Portugal.”

“The Premier League is a different animal, a different league, and the most competitive league in the world. I knew it would be tough, and they will keep up the storm, but it will end and the sun will rise.”

“I hope everything works out well for him, and I wish the best for Manchester United! I still love that team.”

In that 2022 interview, Ronaldo was very harsh on the Glazers. He said they weren’t investing enough in the club, which is shown by the fact that the facilities aren’t as good as those at other European giants.

Since becoming a co-owner in February, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been in charge of football operations. He is said to have made “big changes” off the field, such as putting in place a proper hierarchy above the head coach and cutting costs by a large amount.

And Ronaldo repeated what he had said before, saying that the club’s problem is still the ownership.

“The problem is not the coaches,” the Al-Nassr star said. “I said this a year and a half ago, and I will say it again.”

“I always use an aquarium as an example: if you take a sick fish out of the aquarium, fix the problem, and then put the fish back in, they will get sick again. That’s the problem.”

“Manchester United is the same. It’s not just the coach that’s wrong; it’s a lot more than that.”

„If I owned the club, I would make things clear and fix what I see as being wrong there.”
