“No real Arsenal fan will ever forget him,He’s the best Arsenal right-footed player that ever existed follow by Henry”-Arsene Wenger says Arsenal had a £5m player whose right foot was just as good as Thierry Henry’s
“Arsene Wenger has praised Robert Pires’ right foot, saying that it was on par with Thierry Henry’s. No true Arsenal fan will ever forget him, He’s the best Arsenal right-footed player that ever existed, followed by Henry.” The legendary Arsenal manager has praised Robert Pires’ right foot.
The Frenchman had some outstanding players under his management at Arsenal. Nearly all of them improved under his tutelage, and many of them went on to become superstars. And Pires was among them.
Robert Pires was acquired by Arsenal from Marseille in July 2000 for a meager £5 million, according to Arsene Wenger, who claims that Pires’ right foot was just as good as Thierry Henry’s (TalkSPORT).
Among the best players to represent Arsenal in the Premier League era is the Frenchman. Throughout his six years with the Gunners, he was exceptional.
Pires contributed directly to 146 goals during his 284 Arsenal games. He contributed to Arsenal’s two Premier League championships, three FA Cups, and two Community Shield victories.
Wenger was asked to identify a player he had managed who had the best right foot throughout his career in a brief video with Goal.
At first, the Frenchman said there were too many players to select from, but Wenger quickly brought up Pires, implying the winger was equally talented, after the interviewer recommended Thierry Henry.
“Yes, maybe (Henry), but there was also Pires,” he remarked. Pires must not be overlooked.
“There was something inside Pires’ right foot. In Thierry, they form a duo.
When Robert Pires was at Arsenal, he was amazing.
Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, and Patrick Vieira are typically mentioned when discussing Arsenal’s best teams under Arsene Wenger.
But Robert Pires was right up there as well.
Across all competitions, the Frenchman finished with 19 goals and 13 assists during the renowned Invincibles season. That is an incredible comeback for a left winger.
Pires scored some amazing goals with his right foot. Wenger regards him equally highly as Henry when it comes to shooting with his strong foot because very few players had the control that he possessed.
