Mudryk has made De Zerbi stance clear as possible new Chelsea manager found
Mykhailo Mudryk has made it clear that Roberto De Zerbi is not interested in being Chelsea’s new manager. In other Chelsea news, the Blues are allegedly looking at the boss of Brighton as a potential replacement for Mauricio Pochettino, which could lead to a reunion with De Zerbi.

Mykhailo Mudryk, an attacker for Chelsea, has had trouble bringing his electric play from Shakhtar Donetsk in the 2022 Champions League into the Premier League. His 14 months on the field at Stamford Bridge have been marked by fleeting bursts of electric brilliance. A burst of light.
Since joining from Ukraine, the 23-year-old has scored just five goals for the club despite signing for an initial £62 million, with that amount potentially increasing to over £85 million if he triggers some ambitious add-ons. Throughout his inconsistent first season with the club, he looked most at ease in the second half of the previous campaign.
For Mauricio Pochettino, he is still a huge mystery on the Blues’ roster. He seems no more settled than the unproven talent Graham Potter acquired in January 2022, unable to commit to a regular spot while simultaneously being capable of the miraculous and the catastrophic.
In Pochettino’s nine months in charge, his ups and downs have been just a minor part of the struggle. Although he arrived with the intention of making Mudryk Chelsea’s answer to Son Heung-min, there are no signs that this will happen.
Now that the season is winding down, Pochettino must fight for the chance to prove himself worthy of the head coaching job. Even though Chelsea’s manager is taking heat from supporters, the Blues are in a good position to achieve a lot: they are still in contention to finish in the top seven and are heavy favorites to advance to the FA Cup semi-finals when they face Leicester next week.
Much like his boss, Mudryk has been helpless in the face of mounting criticism. The club reportedly started making preparations for life without Pochettino even before Graham Potter’s dismissal, and that was a full year ago.

Former Mudryk manager Roberto De Zerbi is among those linked to a potentially vacant hot seat in the summer. The Italian has quickly become one of the world’s leading coaching talents, despite only having been at Brighton for a little over a year.
Among the links, De Zerbi’s prior relationship with Mudryk stands out, and he also helps teams perform better than their individual parts. At Shakhtar in 2021, De Zerbi gave Mudryk his breakthrough, and his stock kept rising until the big-money transfer was finalized.
While in Ukraine, the winger made sure to let De Zerbi know how much he appreciates him. In 2021, he won the club’s player of the year award. He later said, “Yes, I agree that it was my breakthrough year, it was also challenging and full of emotions.”. “Even though it’s a breakthrough year, I would like to make the next year even more successful.”
That he accomplished, and it was mainly due to a life-altering phone call that occurred during his first summer under De Zerbi. It was so unexpected that Mudryk almost couldn’t believe her ears when he called, she admitted. This was a fresh challenge, and I found it fascinating and exciting.
It’s touching that Mister chose to contact me on his initial day in Ukraine. I recall attentively listening to him and immersing myself in what he had to say; to this day, I maintain that practice. Thank goodness we are able to communicate and get along. Upon seeing my game, he assured me he would help me reach my full potential.
Not only that, but he said he had full faith in me. This is practically the only thing I wanted to hear, so Mr.’s remarks mean a lot to me.
Both parties are enamored. “Me and my staff have a special relationship [with Mudryk],” De Zerbi has stated regarding the Chelsea ace. We love him like a son. Despite my love for him, I’m hoping he sits on the bench and doesn’t play in Brighton’s match against Chelsea. We wish him the best of luck in the next game.
The transition to a new nation and football style is never easy for a young player. I think it’s normal for him; he has to adjust and realize his life has changed, but I also think he’s a good, smart guy, and Chelsea have a lot of big players. A top-tier player is within his reach.
After last season’s season-ending match at Stamford Bridge, Mudryk wasted no time gushing about his mentor on social media. “Nice to meet you again [red heart emoji]” he wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of the two of them fully embracing.
