Manchester United agree fee to sign Premier League superstar as Club agree personal terms with the star
As match week two draws near, the most recent information and rumours regarding transfers pertaining to the Premier League.
The Premier League season has begun, and the next weekend of play is quickly approaching. Over the opening weekend, there were a few surprising results, but most games went according to plan.
In the interim, all clubs are making transfers in an attempt to bolster their rosters and get rid of unwanted players before the summer transfer window closes. London clubs are undoubtedly involved in this process. Here, we provide the most recent information about the elite clubs.
If a deal involving Ferdi Kadioglu for the Cottagers works out, Fulham is reportedly expected to receive a bid for defender Antonee Robinson. GiveMeSport claims that in an attempt to bolster their full-back positions, United will move for Robinson if Fulham can outbid Brighton for the acquisition of Kadioglu.
With Brighton also interested, Kadioglu is expected to cost close to £40 million including add-ons. The Cottagers may still have difficulty closing a deal given rumours from Turkey indicating a new bid has been made.
Lacroix latest: In an attempt to replace Joachim Andersen, who is headed to Fulham, Palace is said to have had an offer for Maxence Lacroix accepted by Wolfsburg. According to We Are Palace, the German team has finally accepted a bid totalling £14 million for Lacroix, who is rumoured to be interested in moving this summer.
Andersen is expected to sign a £30 million contract with Fulham, and Palace will pay almost half of that amount to replace him. According to reports, Palace will pay about £12 million up front and an additional £2 million.
Kossounou race
After attempts to sign Marc Guehi have, at least thus far, failed, Newcastle United is rumoured to have entered the battle for Bayer Leverkusen defender Odilon Kossounou. Despite making over £60 million in advances for the centre back, Newcastle has not been able to complete a deal for him thus far.
According to Kicker, Newcastle is reportedly interested in paying £30 million for Kossounou, who has also been connected to Palace; however, with Lacroix’s impending arrival, those connections should fade. The story states that Leverkusen has already received an offer of £38 million from an English team, but it makes no mention of the bidding club.
