Man Utd keen on signing 22-year-old La-liga superstar this summer but Real Madrid have advantage in race

Manchester United are interested in acquiring the services of Girona’s defender, Miguel Gutierrez.

Mundo Deportivo, through SportWitness, has been observing the 22-year-old left-back this season and may consider acquiring him at the season’s end.

In 2022, the defender transferred from Real Madrid to Girona, with Real Madrid having the option to acquire him for approximately €8 million.

It will be intriguing to see if the Red Devils can outbid Real Madrid for his signature. Manchester United will be unable to prevent the Spanish team from signing the player if they want to activate the repurchase provision in his contract.

Girona will not sell the player to Manchester United for €8 million, even if Real Madrid does not sign him. They will need to pay an extra cost for him.

Manchester United are eager to sign a left-back. Luke Shaw has experienced numerous injury issues, while Tyrell Malacia has had minimal playing time this season. Manchester United should acquire a high-caliber left-back, and Gutierrez would be an excellent choice.

The 22-year-old has demonstrated his abilities in La Liga and is undoubtedly suitable for the Premier League.

Real Madrid’s interest in acquiring Bayern Munich’s defender, Alphonso Davies, will greatly benefit Manchester United. The Spanish team is more inclined to pursue the Canadian player than Gutierrez.
