Man City star Erling Haaland fires four-word warning message to Man United ahead of derby
In a four-word warning, Manchester City star Erling Haaland confronts Manchester United in the derby.
Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, is prepared for this weekend’s derby match against Manchester United.
The forward’s goal-scoring exploits in Tuesday night’s FA Cup match have left him understandably pumped up for this weekend’s big game.
Amazingly, City defeated Luton Town 6-2 thanks to five goals from Haaland, paving the way for a quarterfinal matchup with Newcastle United in a few weeks.
But first, there’s a matchup with United, a team that the Norwegian has a soft spot for. City were far more dominant than the score indicates in their 6-3 victory over Manchester United, in which Haaland scored a hat trick—his first in a Manchester derby.
Last season, after United lost the rematch at Old Trafford, Haaland scored twice in his final game against Liverpool. As City cruised to a 3-0 victory, he scored twice.
Two key players for Man City’s match against Manchester United could be out injured.
After the Blues finished getting ready for one of the most important games of the season, Haaland took to Instagram to share a message on Friday. The Norwegian captioned the photo with the words “Manchester derby coming up!”
The United supporter Roy Keane had a long-running animosity with Alf-Inge Haaland, the forward’s father, and in October, United fans chanted “Keano” at Haaland. The 23-year-old was elated to have the upper hand after the game.
“That is incredible. In an interview with Sky Sports, he gushed about the team’s triumph and the game, praising Bernardo Silva in particular.
For the third goal, it was as easy as pie: I noticed Phil was by himself. I don’t understand why, but after the penalty, people started singing “Keano” to me. The party and the game were both enjoyable.
