Manchester United needs to find a new star player to replace Marcus Rashford, who recently said he wants to leave the team where he grew up.

Since that memorable interview, Ruben Amorim has taken him out of the team for three straight games, and the club is willing to let him go on loan in the winter.

But Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee aren’t playing well, so INEOS needs to find a steady goal scorer. According to reports from Spain, as shared by F365, Barcelona’s Raphinha could be the answer.

So far this season, the Brazilian has been on fire, scoring 17 goals and setting up 10 others across all categories.

Harpy on fire

Because he is so important to Hansi Flick’s system, he has played all but one game this season. It will be interesting to see if the Catalan club agrees to let him go.

Amorim is very versatile and has mostly played as a left winger, but he has also been used on the right and as a No. 10.

Since he played for Leeds United before moving to Spain, INEOS is interested in him because he has experience in the Premier League.

The story says that Amorim is “obsessed” with the Barcelona star and “hopes to be able to convince Joan Laporta and Deco” to let him join Manchester United.

United is ready to pay €80 million plus 10 million more in possible extras for the Brazil international, who Flick calls a “indispensable pillar.”

Dreams of Raphinha for Amorim

Because the Catalan giants are having money problems, such a big deal “could cause doubts at the Camp Nou.” It’s still unclear whether United will be able to pay such a huge sum in January or if they will launch an attack in the summer.

Raphinha has a deal with Barcelona that lasts until 2027, and the Brazilian is worth €60 million right now.

Along with the Brazil international, United is also said to be interested in Viktor Gyokeres, who was Amorim’s student in Lisbon, and Gregor Kobel of Borussia Dortmund.

The 20-time English league winners will probably have to pay about €230 million for all three deals next summer.
