Jesse Lingard finally responds to Paul Scholes’ scathing criticism on social media
Jesse Lingard, a former Manchester United player, reacts to Paul Scholes’ harsh critique
Former Manchester United player and current unrestricted free agent Jesse Lingard has addressed the critical remarks made about him by legendary Man United player Paul Scholes.
The Peoples Person revealed yesterday that Scholes had posted a critical remark on Lingard’s Instagram photo of him working out at the gym.
The United great questioned the free agent, “Are you just gon’ f-ck about in the gym or are you gonna actually play football?”

Lingard chose not to escalate tension between the two by simply posting a row of smiley faces in response to the now-deleted comment.
Since July of last year, when his one-year contract with Nottingham Forest expired, Lingard has been without a club.
Wolverhampton Wanderers, a team in the Premier League, reportedly showed interest in signing Lingard soon after his time with Forest ended, but no agreement was reached.
It was disclosed in September that Lingard had started working out for West Ham United, the team he would be loaned to in 2021.
Regretfully, The Hammers made the decision not to invite Lingard back to the London Stadium.
Despite the fact that Lingard reportedly got along with the team and scored in a friendly game, Al-Ettifaq refused to pay his wage demands.
Priorities shifted to Everton last week, as the Merseyside team was rumored to be considering a move for Lingard.
It remains to be seen if Lingard makes a comeback to the Premier League, wearing a blue jersey this time, or if he will keep looking for a new team.
