Jadon Sancho cost a lot of money when he moved from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United in 2021, but since then, his career has taken a severe hit. Sancho is now expected to return to Dortmund.

One of the biggest transfer busts in Manchester United’s history is Jadon Sancho.

Sancho, who cost Borussia Dortmund £73 million in 2021, will return to the German team this month on loan following a dramatic falling out with manager Erik ten Hag. Sancho, 23, has made just 82 appearances for United and has only scored 12 goals. He hasn’t played for the team since August after Ten Hag banished him for openly criticizing him on social media.

According to former United striker Louis Saha, Sancho’s error will rank among the most expensive in the team’s history, and he doesn’t have the necessary mindset to be successful at a team of that caliber.

One of Manchester United’s worst transfer missteps, in Saha’s opinion, is Jaydon Sancho. That kind of quality cannot be neglected due to his attitude.

“Because of that, you cannot shut him out for six months. Injuries are the only thing that ought to stop you. It doesn’t sit well because we know he’s good enough. It is not acceptable for you to place yourself in that predicament and believe that the manager is beneath you.

“I don’t support Sancho no matter what, which is difficult for me because I’m a United fan. It is simply abhorrent.

Saha further asserted that Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez’s impending injury returns will be equivalent to United adding two new players. Martinez, the defender, has been out since the end of the previous season due to a persistent metatarsal injury, and Casemiero, the midfielder, has not been available since November 1.

“I hope the players who are recovering from injuries get back to full fitness,” Saha said to Paddy Power. “Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro, for example, will be like new additions.

“Seeing them return excites me more than seeing any other new players join the team. Although I could see a striker or midfielder joining, it would be preferable to get those players back through a transfer. It’s difficult to bring in players with the proper attitude and energy when it comes to transfers.

“I’d love to mention names for Manchester United in January, but it takes more than one player—or even two—for them to contend with the elite clubs. The market is going to be difficult.

“It should be expected and the players’ responsibility to make changes, but I don’t think that will happen.”
