I thought I had lost the game as soon as Enzo Maresca brought him in, but I have to give M. Kovacic credit for keeping me from being humiliated today. One Chelsea player that truly bothered Erling Haaland and his teammates today was named.

Just before stoppage time, in the early stages of the second half, Enzo Maresca made his first-half substitute in an attempt to salvage some pride from the major confrontation. Nicolas Jackson made an attempt to impress his management after the first Premier League game, and the Blues were about to record a big equaliser during the 44 minutes.

Chelsea, on the other hand, began the game without certain attacking options, including Pedro Neto and Sterling, as well as all new additions. The manager then substituted Neto for Christopher Nkunku in the 66th minute. Although Chelsea did not secure the expected victory, the events of the first half had all the makings of limiting those who might have projected a massive comeback.

Raheem Sterling, on the other hand, took to SkySport when the manager did not select him to start the game. For the next three years, Raheem Sterling is under contract with Chelsea Football Club. Mail Sport was told by Sterling’s camp.

He came back to England two weeks ahead of schedule to work on individual training, and he’s had a terrific preseason working with the new coach, with whom he’s built a nice rapport.

“We expected Raheem to be involved in some way in this weekend’s fixture, given his inclusion in official club pre-match material this week. He is committed, as ever, to delivering at the highest level for Chelsea FC and the fans, whom he holds in high regard.”

Referee Tylor, whose only concern was keeping the game moving forward without a penalty, denied the Blues multiple opportunities to score at least one goal from the numerous penalties that would have been given.

After blocking a terrible loaded goal from the city’s goal machine, Haaland, Robert Sanchez played a critical role in keeping the Blues from mounting a late comeback.

Kovacic gave Pep Guadiola’s team the lead in the 84th minute, and Chelsea suffered their first loss under Enzo Maresca.

To record a successful campaign this season, it appears the manager has already learnt the importance of starting with a more clinical finish the following time.
