“I will come to Arsenal by all means, because Playing in along side the Gunners is my greatest dream i want to fulfill”- £43m Dortmund star Donyell Malen is desperately keen to return to Arsenal

“I will come to Arsenal by all means, because Playing in along side the Gunners is my greatest dream i want to fulfill” – £43 million Donyell Malen, a star for Dortmund, is incredibly eager to rejoin Arsenal.
Donyell Malen, a forward for Borussia Dortmund, expressed his desire to play for Arsenal in the Premier League in an interview with the Dutch publication Voetbal Zone.

According to BILD, the 25-year-old has been linked to a summer transfer away from the Bundesliga’s top team and could fetch up to £43 million in sales.

After failing to make the senior squad as a teenager, Malen has now admitted, in an interview with Voetbal Zone, that he wants to play in the English premier league and wants to go back to Arsenal.

“I think it is a dream to play in the Premier League, because I played in England as a youth,” he stated. That seems like a really lovely dream. Yes, Arsenal; I did attend them when I was younger. My favorite team, Arsenal, is what I want.

“I really wanted to make a breakthrough there when I played there as a young player. In a football career, there will occasionally come a time when you have to make a choice. Yes, at the age of seventeen or eighteen, I was training with the first team.

“I did make progress, but I believed that all I needed to do was play professional football.” While I was still playing youth football, I also watched my teammates play professional football, and I instantly knew that leaving was the right decision.
backup option
Malen is in his third season at Dortmund right now, but there have been rumors that he may leave in the summer. The 25-year-old had a patchy start to the season, but in the last few months he has improved. The forward has made 30 appearances for the German powerhouse, tallying 12 goals and 4 assists.

Arsenal may be looking for a new backup option at right wing, where he has contributed most of his goal involvements. Reiss Nelson has only scored one goal in his 21 games for the London team, so there hasn’t been any backup from the bench to complement Bukayo Saka’s incredible 16 goals and 13 assists.

Malen might be the ideal candidate to fill Saka’s deputy position. The former graduate of Arsenal could also perform similarly from the left wing, where he has made 81 career appearances. He can already play as a center forward, and before moving to Germany, he was primarily successful at PSV Eindhoven.

Arsenal might try to re-sign him from Dortmund given his versatility as an attacking player, which allows him to play in three positions. The biggest unknown is whether the Netherlands player, who averaged 66 minutes per league game at Dortmund, will take a smaller starting role with the Gunners.
