“I have no regrets about what I did…” – Arsenal star who Mikel Arteta threw out of the club for lack of respect fires back, sends message to the Gunners Boss after the club’s 6-0 win over Sheffield

Despite his brief stay at Arsenal, Matteo Guendouzi is still a divisive figure, remembered for both his brilliant and passionate moments and his inappropriate behavior and disobedience.

Not only did he have great games against Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur, but he also had a falling out with Neal Maupay and skipped Arsenal’s FA Cup final against Chelsea to go on vacation.

Even after just 12 games under Mikel Arteta’s tutelage, Guendouzi sought a transfer away from Arsenal.

Guendouzi discussed that time and his shortcomings while playing for Arsenal’s manager in an interview published this week in The Athletic.

“My time with Arteta was brief—just six months,” Guendouzi remarked. I was learning new things every day at the age of 19. I would learn from my 19-year-old self’s errors.

You make mistakes and learn new things every day on the football field. People make mistakes all the time. Making blunders helps you grow as a person and as a football player.

The French midfielder extended his best wishes to his previous club.

“I played a lot, so it was a great club for me,” Guendouzi emphasized.

Arsenal is a great team that Arteta is a huge part of, and they’re in title contention because of his incredible play. Arsenal is a major club, so I’m rooting for them to take home the trophy. My best wishes are with them.

Guendouzi, on the other hand, claims he has no qualms about his stay in north London.

“What I did at Arsenal was the right thing to do,” he declared. In just two years, I played 85 games at the age of 19. For a major club like Arsenal, 85 games is quite a bit.

“I did my best for the team… I’m satisfied with my performance there.

On loan from Marseille, Guendouzi is currently playing for Lazio.

As Lazio seek to preserve a 1-0 lead in the second leg of their Champions League match against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night, he will be facing one of the most important games of his career.
