“I feel bad about putting him in the good but..” – Liverpool man reveals Tottenham star that has Amazed him the MOST this season after the departure of Harry Kane
Joe Cole ranked Heung-Min Son among the greatest strikers the game has ever seen, while Peter Crouch insisted the captain is a Tottenham Hotspur legend.
Heung-min Son has undoubtedly rediscovered his best form for Spurs this season. The South Korean donned the captain’s armband. He stands a good chance of having his best season in front of the Tottenham goal.
Son, who is currently on international duty for the Asian Cup, has scored 12 Premier League goals this season. His highest tally is 23.
Joe Cole and Peter Crouch praise Tottenham’s captain, Heung-Min Son:
Since Harry Kane left in the summer, Son has frequently played up front. Some will be surprised to see the 31-year-old on the list of the world’s best strikers, published by Joe Cole and Peter Crouch in a video on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel.
Ronaldo and Thierry Henry were ranked highest, followed by elite, world, and good. Son was the first to rise to prominence, followed by Nicolas Anelka, Carlos Tevez, and Gabriel Batistuta.
Joe Cole went on to say, “I feel bad putting him in good because he’s amazing, isn’t he?”
“If you look at his record, who he’s surpassed there, like Defoe, Robbie Keane, the Tottenham legends, he’s a true Spurs legend,” Crouch went on to say.
The Spurs star has done a fantastic job to be included in the list of all-time strikers.
It’s a bit unfair to compare Son to some of the best strikers the world has ever seen. After all, he didn’t get much playing time in that position at Tottenham, owing primarily to Harry Kane.
However, the fact that Son is on the list speaks volumes. As Crouch points out, the £22 million striker is already one of the club’s all-time leading scorers. And we wouldn’t be surprised if he reaches his double centenary sometime in the future.
Despite his inclusion on the list, Son is likely vastly underappreciated given what he has brought to Tottenham since his arrival.
