“I always believe that I was born to play for Arsenal despite finding myself in Chelsea but I will never relent and will definitely fulfill my promise “-Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk’devastated’ not to get Arsenal move and Gunners still think highly of him

Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk is “devastated” not to have moved to Arsenal, but the Gunners still think highly of him. “I always believe that I was born to play for Arsenal despite finding myself in Chelsea but I will never relent and will definitely fulfill my promise,” Mudryk said.
Mykhailo Mudryk, a star player for Chelsea, was devastated when his transfer to Arsenal fell through the previous year, and it’s thought that Mikel Arteta is still interested in the Ukrainian international. Although Mudryk made a high-profile transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk to the Premier League in January 2023, his Chelsea performances have thus far been nothing short of disingenuous.
After more than a year of playing for Chelsea, Mudryk’s relocation to west London has not produced many encouraging outcomes. Despite the likelihood that the winger would sign with Arsenal, a rival team in London, the Blues spent an incredible £88.5 million on Mudryk’s services.
This is because Shakhtar rejected every offer the Gunners made for Mudryk in favor of a contract with Chelsea, a team with unlimited spending power. Mudryk, who was hell-bent on joining the Emirates Stadium team, is rumored to have been deeply affected by Arsenal’s inability to match Chelsea’s offer, which meant he was headed to Stamford Bridge.

According to The Athletic, Mudryk was not at all persuaded to join Chelsea, so it is thought that he was disappointed when his move to Arsenal fell through. During the January 2022 transfer window, Arteta and sporting director Edu Gaspar had made Mudryk their top target; however, the failed transfer drama disappointed the two of them.

Surprisingly, though, given Mudryk’s performance in the Premier League thus far, rumors persist that Arsenal remains interested in the attacker, who continues to win over supporters at the north London team. The 23-year-old’s performances aren’t thought to have turned Arteta and Co. off; instead, the Gunners manager feels that Arsenal would have been a better fit for his skill than Chelsea.
Naturally, Arsenal was able to function fairly well without Mudryk. Leandro Trossard, a Belgian winger, was acquired by them from Brighton & Hove Albion. Trossard had been a vital backup for starting wide men Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.
However, Chelsea had previously defeated Arsenal to acquire one of their transfer targets—the Mudryk coup—and Arteta’s team came out on top in the end. Similar to Mudryk, Chelsea beat Arsenal to sign midfielder Moises Caicedo, for whom the Gunners had placed a bid in January 2022.
Caicedo, another Blues acquisition who has yet to make an impression at Stamford Bridge, eventually joined Chelsea the following summer. However, there’s a good chance Arteta’s team would not have acquired Declan Rice if he had chosen to move to Arsenal. The other team vying for Rice’s services was Manchester City, which may have been the deal that gave Pep Guardiola’s squad a free pass to win the league this year.
