“His returning is great boost for us and i’ll be waiting to see the new chemistry in him”- Mikel Arteta tips returning Arsenal star to have ‘really big impact’ in title race

Mikel Arteta predicts a “really big impact” from returning Arsenal star as the team races for the title, saying, “His return is great boost for us and i’ll be waiting to see the new chemistry in him.”
As Thomas Partey returns to full fitness, Mikel Arteta has backed the Arsenal star to make a “really big impact” in the Premier League title race.

Partey, a midfielder who has struggled with injuries this season, will likely make his Premier League return on Monday against Sheffield United.

Arteta is excited to see the Ghanaian international form a partnership with Declan Rice after he was an integral part of Arsenal’s title challenge last season.

Partey and Rice, who joined Arsenal for £105 million in the summer, played midfield together in August’s Community Shield victory over Manchester City.

After that, though, Partey started seeing action at right back until a series of injuries kept him out for a while.

When asked whether Rice could contribute to Partey’s improved performance, Arteta responded affirmatively.

I need to see that on-field chemistry, those attributes, and the things we need to work on so they can complement each other’s strengths. However, I anticipate a formidable midfield from that team. They may have only shared a midfield spot in the Community Shield. That is the extent to which Thomas has been missed.

For a player who hasn’t seen much action with us this season, playing the entire season gives him a great opportunity to make an impression in the coming three months.
Arteta, meanwhile, thinks that in order for Arsenal to win the Premier League for the first time in 20 years, they will need to accumulate 90 points.

Also, he warned that it was possible they would have to win every game. There will be a plethora of games, everyone’s schedule is going to be jam-packed, and this league might be completely different from the last. I think it would be quite challenging to achieve anything below 90 points.
