United should try to sign Aaron Ramsdale, a goalkeeper for Arsenal, in January to replace Andre Onana, says talkSPORT pundit Alan Brazil.
On Wednesday night, United threw away a two-goal lead against Galatasaray twice, with Onana committing two costly mistakes. The result was a 3-3 draw.
This season, the Cameroon international has taken a lot of heat for his Champions League performances, even though he has been much better in the Premier League.
After his most recent lackluster performance against Galatasaray, Brazil and fellow commentator Gabby Agbonlahor discussed the pros and cons of trying to bring on Arsenal’s David Raya, who is currently sitting on the bench, to replace him.
“Onana is an accident waiting to happen – what about Ramsdale at Manchester United?” Brazil started while talking about Onana on talkSPORT.
“I am not convinced,” Agbonlahor said in response. Arteta will want him as a backup, so I doubt Arsenal would sell him.

Brazil asked him to explain his position: “Why?” I believe Ramsdale will make a move if he wants to leave. This guy isn’t joking!
In response, Agbonlahor stated, “I can’t see Man United going out and buying another goalkeeper, given what they paid for Onana.”
“However, a new owner is on the way in, and he’s putting in £1.3 billion. He may announce, ‘Right, I’m now in charge of transfers – he goes.'” Brazil went on to say. With him, we will not succeed.
Which would be unfair to Onana because he can be a solid goalkeeper when called upon.
However, becoming a multi-billionaire is not something that happens by chance; Sir Jim Ratcliffe is known to be brutal, and he may simply order the dismissal of ineffective employees in order to restore the company’s prominence. Getting to the Champions League is an accomplishment in and of itself. We aspire to be the English champions and the Champions League favorites.
If he’s going to invest that much money, that’s the way he has to think.
Agbonlahor, a former striker for Aston Villa, feels bad for Manchester United goalkeeper Onana. There’s a video of him letting go of his gloves following the match. Self-criticism has him fuming.
However, you are unable to score from those two free kicks. He has lost his team despite making easy saves. United should go on to win 4-1 if Onana refrains from making those two errors.
“He’s so carefree with the ball that he doesn’t know when to dive for free-kicks; he can’t switch on.”
