“He got Erik ten Hag sacked and he’s now trying to replicate it with Amorim…I know Amorim defeated me many times but I don’t want him to fail so I have told him to remove that player”: Man City coach Pep Guardiola names ONE player Ruben Amorim must axed before he could succeed at Old Trafford
After Manchester United lost 3-0 to Bournemouth, Michael Owen says the Red Devils are “not a good team” and tells Ruben Amorim to be “brutal.”
In the 29th minute, Dean Huijsen, a player for Spain’s Under-21 team, headed the ball past Andre Onana and put Bournemouth ahead.
Then Manchester United gave up. Justin Kluivert scored from the penalty spot in the second half, and Antoine Semenyo added a third goal for the Cherries.
In 17 Premier League games, the Red Devils have lost seven times. Amorim’s team is still 13th in the table.
Like the coaches who came before him, Amorim is having trouble getting consistent performances and results. Man Utd co-owners INEOS are debating whether to back the Portuguese head coach in January or wait until the summer.
It was a bad call by Noussair Mazroaui, who was one of the better summer signings at Old Trafford this season. Owen, a former striker, criticized the Manchester United defense and the team.
What Owen told Premier League Productions was, “You’re being nice.” A little rash? More like a little stupid.
“It’s sad that Manchester United can fall behind 1-0 and never really look like they’ll come back.”
“What the hell are you doing?” He dives in even though two players are ready for him. He won’t score from there.
“Remain on your feet and lead him away.” It’s just a terrible choice.
“They’re not a good group.” It’s Ruben Amorim’s job to watch that game and make sure that the players who aren’t doing anything don’t put on their shirts again. That mean and cruel man needs to be him.
After Man Utd lost to Bournemouth, Amorim was careful not to be too hard on his players. Instead, he focused on the good things that happened at Old Trafford on Sunday.
If you saw the game, Amorim said, “It’s really hard.” We give up a mistake and then a goal.
“We were making chances and winning second balls.” Then we gave up a penalty and the third goal. Fans had a hard time. The next game we have to go again.
“There were a lot of times when they scored, kind of like when Tottenham did.” The crowd is having a terrible time. We need to fight right now.
“Everyone needs to stay calm when they lose a goal.” In the last game, it was the same. The players need to know that there are different parts to the game.
“I knew the job would be hard, especially during these busy months.” We’re ready to take on the duty.
