Manchester United is now gathering scouting reports on Joshua Zirkzee, the striker from Bologna, as reported by GIVEMESPORT.

He is likely a more cost-effective option for the club compared to players such as Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.

Erik ten Hag’s options for attacking players this season are constrained due to the presence of only two genuine center-forwards, namely Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial.

As a result of Martial and Hojlund’s injuries, Omari Forson and Marcus Rashford have sometimes taken on important responsibilities. Consequently, it would be highly beneficial for the Red Devils to acquire a third striker.

Due to the potential hindrance of Kane and Osimhen on Hojlund’s development, United is cautious about obstructing his progress in order to enhance his chances of becoming a prominent figure.

Coming in as a supplementary choice alongside Hojlund, Zirkzee would provide rivalry in the offensive position and is more inclined to be convinced to play in that role.

AC Milan and Juventus have shown their interest in signing Zirkzee, and Bayern Munich, who previously sold him to Bologna, have a buy-back clause. Therefore, the Red Devils are likely to face competition in acquiring his services.

Arsenal and Tottenham, two Premier League clubs, are also interested in acquiring the services of the talented Dutch forward, who has made a strong impression this season while playing for the Italian club.

He has scored 10 goals and provided two assists for the Italian club in 26 league games.

Manchester United is actively pursuing the signing of Zirkzee and the competition for his signature is intense.

The Dutch forward is seen to be a more suitable option for United compared to stars such as Kane and Osimhen, who are anticipated to command significant transfer prices.
