FINALLY: Amidst Ange Postecoglou's update, a Tottenham star might be in for an awkward moment.

When Richarlison makes his injury comeback against West Ham United on Thursday night, fans may be in for a funny moment. Ange Postecoglou revealed that the former Everton striker might be involved in training ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match against Manchester City. The Brazilian international has been sidelined following surgery for a groin issue.

The Spurs head coach said in an interview with SPURSPLAY that Richardson is likely the closest of the players who have been absent. “We’re hoping to get him involved in training hopefully tomorrow (Saturday), and then we’ll see how he is as he’s obviously missed a fair bit,” the coach said. Importantly, he feels good and has completed his rehabilitation quite well.

“He’s sort of the next cab off the ranks in terms of the injured guys.” All eyes will be on Richarlison’s interactions with Hammers striker Michail Antonio if he is able to play against West Ham and regains full fitness.

The Jamaican striker made light of the Spurs player’s goal total from the previous campaign, saying on the Footballer’s Football Podcast: “He’s scored four times this season.” He has been in violation three times.

“He has taken his top off four times this season.” Antonio disclosed in a subsequent podcast that Richarlison wasn’t too fond of the remarks.

The West Ham forward claimed that his Brazilian teammate Lucas Paqueta, who also plays with Richarlison, informed him that the Tottenham player would not shake hands prior to their upcoming match. Mickey (Richarlison) is just the way he is, Lucas says. I told him that’s just the way you are,” Antonio went on.
