Excellent Deal! – Journalist reacts as Man United could sign world class star forward and World cup winner for just £11m
Fantastic Offer! Journalists respond to reports that Man United could pay just £11 million to sign a world-class striker and World Cup winner.
Paulo Dybala, a target for Manchester United, is “one of the best of his generation” and would be a “mouthwatering” addition for Erik ten Hag’s team. However, a journalist from Transfer Insider explains why a move to Old Trafford might not be profitable.
The Red Devils have the chance to bolster their roster before the winter window closes on February 1. Having set a record by finishing their worst Champions League campaign ever, they were eliminated after only four points from six group stage matches.
Donny van de Beek has joined Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt on an initial loan with a £9.5 million buyout option, demonstrating Manchester United’s rapid squad restructuring efforts. Ten Hag will be eager to bring in more players.
Dybala was handed the chance to strike by the Red Devils.
According to Spanish sources, Manchester United is one of five teams attempting to entice Dybala away from Roma. This is because it has been revealed that teams outside of Italy have the ability to activate a release clause valued at nearly £11 million for the duration of the transfer window.
Ten Hag is reportedly keen to defeat teams like Chelsea, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Atletico Madrid to sign the Argentina international, who has contributed ten goals in 15 appearances this season. This is because ten Hag’s versatility has given the Red Devils hope that he could be the missing component in their quest to become a more potent offensive force.
Dybala has always been a fan of Manchester United, and the team made an attempt to sign him while he was still with Juventus. Talks about a possible trade involving Romelu Lukaku were held, but Dybala decided to stay in Serie A after his representatives traveled there for talks.
When the 2022 World Cup winner was linked to the Red Devils last season, Sunday Mirror reporter Ryan Taylor told GIVEMESPORT that his arrival at Old Trafford would thrill a significant portion of the team’s fan base. However, he cautioned that ten Hag should be concerned about his inconsistent play.
As Dybala enters the last 18 months of his £137,000-per-week Roma contract, his long-term future is still unknown, but it looks like Manchester United may still be unsuccessful in their attempts to sign him.
This is due to reports from Italian media outlet Calciomercato, via Roma Press, that the attacker, who is drawing a lot of interest, is eager to stay at the Stadio Olimpico and is hoping to be offered a new contract.
