It has been suggested that Ratcliffe would consider hiring Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann to rejuvenate the Red Devils, as he is now the top choice for the position.

Nagelsmann is interested in the role and views the possibility to advance after the European Championships if Ten Hag is removed. However, there are many names being considered, not just these two.

Ratcliffe aspires to appoint Zidane.
Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna reported that Ratcliffe and United consider former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane as their ideal choice. The club is contemplating various methods to attract him to Manchester as it would not be a straightforward task.

Aouna’s article on Foot Mercato states that Ten Hag has not yet received the official support of United’s new shareholder, as INEOS is already in the process of selecting a new coach behind the scenes.

Zidane, who departed from Real Madrid in June 2021, has been seeking the perfect coaching opportunity and has shown interest in coaching in Italian football, having played for Juventus for five years.

Now the question is if Ratcliffe can persuade him to attempt the Premier League, with an answer anticipated “in the coming weeks.”

Zidane may receive a timely offer from United.

Zidane has served as the Real manager twice: first from January 2016 until the summer of 2018, and second from March 2019 to June 2021.

Zidane faced a challenge in surpassing his initial success as the first manager to win three consecutive Champions Leagues and La Liga. However, he managed to secure another Spanish title and a Spanish Super Cup.

“Zidane has been key,” Real captain Sergio Ramos remarked in 2020. The individual in question is the leader of the ship and has guided us since the beginning of the season. Zidane placed great trust in all of us players, and we have consistently felt secure under his guidance.

He had faith in us, and we all have faith in the work we have accomplished. Let’s trust that it will be appreciated as it should be. “He is an exceptional coach.”
