DONE DEAL: Man Utd clear to seal and complete signing of £116,000-a-week star forward this month after transfer request approved

Man Utd is set to finalize the signing of a star forward worth £116,000 per week this month after their transfer request was granted. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is a player who has been linked to Manchester United in their search for a striker this month.

Christian Falk disclosed a few days ago that the Cameroonian international is open to negotiations in order to finalize a transfer to Old Trafford.

Football Insider recently revealed that Man United has received an offer from Bayern Munich for the 34-year-old center forward.

Man Utd is therefore free to complete Choupo-Moting’s signing this month, though talks are still in the early stages.

Timo Werner was also extended an offer by the Red Devils, but the German international is leaving RB Leipzig for Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite having played in more than 100 games for the Bavarians, Choupo-Moting has never been a consistent starter and has mostly served as Harry Kane’s backup this season.

His stats are still impressive, though. The seasoned striker has made 42 starts for Bayern in all competitions and has directly assisted on 48 goals (38 goals and 10 assists).

Therefore, Man Utd may benefit from the quality and experience of the £116,000-a-week star.

This season, Man United’s attack has fallen short of expectations. In the Premier League, Garnacho, Fernandes, and Rashford have combined for just three goals.

Brazilian winger Antony has not even gone close to scoring, and Rasmus Hojlund has only once found the back of the net.
