Breaking News: Man Utd star responds after his agent claims he will leave because of Erik ten Hag

Before moving to Granada in January, Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri struggled for a short while. The Uruguayan international has been evasive about his future plans.
In an attempt to play regular football, Facundo Pellistri is exploring all of his options after joining Granada on loan.
The 22-year-old Manchester United winger hasn’t had many chances to play in the first team at Old Trafford since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed him from Penarol back in 2020. Since coming to England, Pellistri has only made 24 appearances for the Red Devils overall.
Of those appearances, just 13 have occurred in the Premier League as Pellistri has found it difficult to force his way into Erik ten Hag’s plans. His agent, Edgardo Lasalvia, attacked the United manager prior to his temporary move to Spain in January, implying that it would be “difficult” for his client to stay at Old Trafford if the Dutchman stayed in charge.
Regarding Pellistri, Lasalvia said to Sport 890: “It will depend on his performance whether he comes back to Manchester in the middle of the year.” If Ten Hag keeps going, this will be challenging. He hasn’t been appreciated, used, or handled like a professional by Ten Hag.
Although the Uruguayan international has refrained from criticizing Ten Hag in this way, he hasn’t completely ruled out the prospect of moving on. In an interview with ESPN, he emphasized that continuing to play regular football is what matters most to him.
“My entire stay in Manchester was amazing; I got to hang out with some of the world’s best players and play a lot of big games,” Pellistri remarked. “I’m searching for more minutes right now, and I’m happy with the opportunity and the way things are going. When the time comes, I’ll weigh everything and decide what to do.”
Ten Hag’s long-term future is in doubt because of Ineos chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s arrival and United’s lackluster season. Whether or not the British billionaire decides to switch managers between this season and the next is still to be seen.

Ten Hag’s future will probably depend a lot on what Manchester United can accomplish in the remaining games of the season. They still have a chance to finish in the top four and will play their bitter rivals Liverpool in the FA Cup quarterfinals next month.
Pellistri acknowledges that Ten Hag is an intense individual and “very good” tactically, despite his limited playing time. “Manchester was not finding a win,” he continues. “Everything becomes more difficult and day-to-day life becomes more complicated when a great team enters that situation.” He has now started to improve, so maybe by the end of the season, he will have accomplished his goal of qualifying for the Champions League.
