BREAKING NEWS: DONE DEAL Chelsea has reached final agreement for Victor Osimhen , as incredible £112m deal is completed today
According to shocking rumours, Victor Osimhen has approved a move, meaning Chelsea is getting close to making another major acquisition.
With a deftly crafted deal worth over £100 million, Chelsea is poised to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli. The Nigerian would join the Premier League.
Incredible reports today state that Osimhen has given the Blues his approval for the transfer. The striker recently inked a new contract with Napoli that includes a £112 million release clause, and he is currently getting ready for the Africa Cup of Nations.
With the biggest clubs in Europe vying for Osimhen’s signature, that new contract might have been nothing more than insurance for the Scudetto holders.
According to reports, the player is “happy to do a pre-agreement this month that would see him officially make the move in summer,” and both Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel have pitched Stamford Bridge to him. It further states that, “Multiple sources in Italy expect some movement to happen in the coming weeks and are convinced this is the last season they will see the 25-year-old in the famous light blue of the Serie A champions.”
However, despite this bombshell, a move is still unlikely at this time for a variety of reasons. It would be a bit premature for Osimhen to commit to a transfer at this time because Chelsea is still outside the top four and is an outsider for Europe’s top competition. The world’s largest clubs are interested in Osimhen, so Chelsea would need to put together an incredible offer for the striker, which is unlikely given their unclear summertime financial status.
Nor is this the first time we have heard this. A “agreement is in place” between Osimhen and the Reds in advance of a move next summer, according to information provided by Italian journalist Valter De Maggio to Televomero in October.
